What is required for extreme temperatures?
For cool environments Arctic Duty is available (-40ºC). It requires external 120 VAC, 1 Phase, 60 Hz source.
Additional heater provided in the control area of load bank along with blower motors rated at -40ºC. If temperature of the control area is below -20ºC, heater should be powered up to allow temperature in the control section to reach -20ºC before load bank operation.
For hot environments solar shields should be specified.
Load banks should not be operated in extreme temperatures. Load banks require plenty of cool air and should be operated in well ventilated areas.
