US Based Courses
This 2-day course prepares technicians to diagnose, troubleshoot, and maintain 2000 SERIES, 5000 SERIES or liquid cooled load banks, including their control systems. See below for details on what is coverved within the training session. We’re also happy to customize the sessions to meet specific requirements.
Jour 1 : Vue d'ensemble, fonctionnement et schémas
System Introduction – Gain a comprehensive understanding of load bank design, functionality, and key system components.
Safety and Setup – Learn essential safety procedures, equipment preparation, and correct setup practices for reliable operation.
Control Panel Operation – Understand control panel functions, operational modes, and day-to-day equipment management.
Schematic Basics – Learn how to read and interpret electrical schematics to support operation and fault diagnosis.
Jour 2 : Diagnostics et réparations
Fault Identification – Learn how to recognize, isolate, and identify common system faults and operational issues.
Hands-On Troubleshooting – Apply practical troubleshooting techniques to diagnose and resolve equipment problems.
Component Checks & Repair – Understand inspection procedures and repair methods for key electrical and mechanical components.
Preventive Service – Learn routine maintenance procedures that help maximise reliability and equipment lifespan.
Wrap Up & Q&A – Review key learning points, discuss real-world scenarios, and address any remaining questions.

Load Bank 101
Introduction to load banks, use cases, overview of Avtron load banks, SIGMA control. Unity and non-unity power what does it mean? What can and cannot be done.
Operator Training
Use of SIGMA LT and/or SIGMA 2 load banks. Local – handheld and software control. Apply manual load, create automatic scripts – run on live load banks or simulators
SIGMA Unity Training
Deep dive into Avtron’s latest load control software – learn to navigate the software, connect to and network together SIGMA LT and SIGMA 2 load banks. Apply manual load, create and deploy automatic scripts. Capture data and run customisable reports from within SIGMA Unity.
Maintenance Training
Overview of standard maintenance across the Avtron 3000, 6000 and 8000 range. SIGMA Diagnostics software intro for non-registered users (what can and can’t be done without a valid registration). Detect faulty elements using insulation resistance testing.
Understanding Avtron schematics and troubleshooting
Guidance to our drawing packages including electronic schematics. Practical fault-finding scenarios on live load banks – common faults. Give your technicians and engineers hands on experience in problem solving.
LC35 liquid cooled load bank training
Product overview followed by installation and commissioning training, connect to load banks using wireless or wired options. Network liquid cooled load banks together or incorporate air cooled load banks into system. Operation training, local control, hand-held and software training using LB view or SIGMA Unity. Includes maintenance training.
